Twin Cedars was the local recipient of Keller Williams Real Estates RED Day, when the company shuts down their offices across the nation while their 80,000 agents and associates do volunteer community-service projects the whole day. RED Day is an acronym for Renew, Energize, and Donate.
Over 20 Keller Williams agents and associates volunteered at Twin Cedars after Keller Williams RED Day Project Coordinator, Theresa Rocco, identified the senior community after meeting owner Tamara Singer. Rocco matched Ms. Singers list of needs for the home with the 20 talents of the participating agents.
The agents spent the day with the seniors doing many different projects such as gardening, organizing the residents closets, painting rooms, shampooing carpeting, conducting cooking demonstrations for the seniors, singing and performing their musical talents. Some of the agents brought their pets from home for the residents to enjoy in the senior residence.
The residents had a full day of entertainment and are enjoying a fresh new coat of paint on the walls. At the end of the event, resident Robert Hissam stated that this was the best day that I have had since I moved into Twin Cedars.
